Lucas Van Berkel Jazz

Saxophone is Lucas Van Berkel's main instrument, though flute and piano are part of his kit too, and he leads bands and hosts as an MC. That range is handy on the night, because the same person who plays through cocktails can pick up the microphone for the formalities. Line-ups start with Lucas alone and grow through duo, trio and quartet to a five-piece. He's based in Perth, and his past performances have included Marnie Kent, Dane Alderson, Libby Hammer, Carl Mackey, Toby Beard, Chris Foster, Pete Jeavons and Matt Jodrell, along with WAYJO and The Bluejays. He's also shared gigs with DJs, among them Bobby Blackbird, James A, Ben Taafe and Bilsby.
