Lady Crooner

Lady Crooner is Debbi Arpini, a Melbourne jazz vocalist who sings the lounge and swing end of the songbook, from the 40s and 50s through to 60s and 70s soul. She sings solo, or teams up with a pianist or an acoustic guitarist for relaxed background music at a ceremony or cocktail hour. A trio adds saxophone or trumpet, and violin is another option. When the night turns to dancing, there's a combo that pairs the live set with a DJ. For a crowd of 100 or fewer, her own PA does the job. Power is needed indoors or out, outdoor shows need shelter, and the performers ask for drinks, plus a meal on events longer than four hours. She covers about 50 km.
