Jive Cats

Brisbane's Jive Cats are a three-piece that sounds bigger than it is, playing swing, rockabilly, jump blues and old-school rock 'n' roll. The set list draws on Elvis, Carl Perkins, Ricky Nelson, Louis Jordan, Imelda May, Robert Gordon, the Stray Cats and the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and anyone else who had a go at the style. It takes the room back to the swing era of the 40s and 50s, which is exactly what jivers and swing dancers want. The players have a lot of road miles behind them. They're a natural pick for a car show, a dance club night, a birthday or a wedding with a retro theme.
