Jeff Usher

Jazz and blues piano, with a blues singer's voice on top, is what Dr Jeff Usher brings to a room. He's a composer as well as a performer, with seven jazz albums recorded. His study took him to a doctorate in composition at the University of Queensland, after a masters at the Queensland Conservatorium, part of Griffith University. He has taught at the Conservatorium since 1998 and lectures in music too. For a jazz dinner, a gallery opening or a function where guests appreciate serious musicianship, he's a pianist who can play to a listening room.
