Jazzstring

Jazz guitar, voice and flute make up the sound of JazzString, a Brisbane duo that plays traditional jazz classics in their own arrangements. Summertime, On the Sunny Side of the Street, God Bless the Child, Miss Celie's Blues and Stairway to the Stars sit alongside newer songs given a jazz, blues and sometimes country or swing treatment, like Georgia, Nature Boy, Ain't No Sunshine, Fragile, Time After Time and Patsy Cline's Crazy. Both players have more than 20 years of music behind them. Credits include the Woodford Folk Festival, where they played the Fire Event, and the Noosa Jazz Festival, plus Giants of Jazz Brisbane, That Place in Pomona, the Brisbane Jazz Club and a regular spot at the Noosa Namaste Restaurant. For a cafe, restaurant or wedding they make a gentle, colourful choice, and an accordion and double bass can join to make a trio or quartet.
