Jazz Merchants is a jazz band based in Sydney, NSW.
Think Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald for the cocktail hour, then Marvin Gaye and Barry White once the lights drop. Jazz Merchants play swing and jazz standards alongside cocktail-style versions of pop and dance hits, with Sinatra and Michael Bublé in the mix too. The Sydney band's classic quartet puts a singer out front with jazz guitar, double bass and saxophone, and you can also book them as a duo, trio or quintet, so they size up or down to fit the room. Their singers carry the show, backed by a tight group of players. One band can see a wedding or work function right through, from welcome drinks to the after party.
