About
Jazz Kings is a jazz band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Jazz is the main course for the Jazz Kings, but they can swing, and they also turn their hand to blues, rockabilly and a bit of country. The set follows the room, anywhere from trad through to modern and popular jazz, with jump and swing for when people want to dance. The core band is a five-piece: bass, drums, keys and guitar, with a trumpet player who also sings. Add Nicole Parker-Brown for a six-piece, or percussion as well for the full seven. They can bring sound and lighting for events of up to 400 guests. The band formed in 2017, and its first CD, Out of Nowhere, came out in December 2020 and has had radio play in Australia and overseas. They're a Queensland band.
