James Sleight

James Sleight has taken out the Australian National Magic Championship three times, and picked up national titles for his close-up magic and comedy on top of that. His specialty is sleight of hand performed inches from a guest, close enough that people nearby start craning their necks to see what's happening and pull him over to join their group. For a longer event he suggests roving among guests early in the night before a separate stage show later, so people get to know him before the bigger performance. He can also be booked purely by the hour for walk-around close-up work. James is based in Perth and works corporate events, weddings and private functions across Western Australia, and is also known in the international market for how quickly he adapts his show to a new room.
