It starts with a waiter dropping a tray. Then the music kicks in, and the staff at your event turn out to be a flash mob of acrobats and dancers. Hype Undercover Waiters Stunt Show mix breakdancing and contemporary dance with synchronised routines, cheerleading lifts and stunts, pole work drawn from calisthenics, balances on canes and chairs, quick costume changes, and optional fire. The longer the show, the bigger the team. Three performers do a 10-minute spot, four do 15 minutes, five do 20, and custom versions go up to eight. Each show runs to its own custom music track, with some audience participation. They'll need a wireless microphone and at least 4 by 4 metres of floor, and for fire, the smoke alarms have to be isolated. Sydney-based, they travel up to 100 km for weddings and corporate events.
