Hint of Swing

Eighteen musicians on one stage is a sound you feel in your chest, and that's what Hint of Swing bring to a Gold Coast ballroom. The big band plays jazz standards, swing, blues, Latin and the Great American Songbook, and you can ask for vocal arrangements sung by a man, a woman or the pair. It's music made for a room that dances in pairs, where the older guests know the steps and the younger ones pick them up fast. Musical director Ivan Cocking spent years in the military as a band master and ran several Regular Army bands before leading this one. They'll work with the venue's sound system or without one. The band holds public liability insurance and covers Brisbane, the Gold Coast and south as far as Byron Bay.
