Heywood's Heroes

Heywood's Heroes play mostly their own songs, rootsy rock that slides from electric blues into country and folk rock, with a few 60s and 70s covers dropped in. The Newcastle three-piece is a singer on electric guitar with bass and drums behind, and it all fits in a 4 by 3 metre corner, which helps in a smaller bar or function room. Originals include Fatal Shore, Outta Here, Rhythm of the Road and Fool's Gold. The covers lean the same way: Willin', Country Honk, Coming into Los Angeles and She Caught the Katy. Prog rock, 70s blues rock and Celtic and traditional music all feed into the sound. Pick them for a room that wants rough edges and real songs over a wall-to-wall hits night. They hold public liability insurance through the MEAA and travel up to 100 km.
