Gypsy Cats

Swing dancers love the Gypsy Cats, and it's easy to see why. The Brisbane trio plays Gypsy jazz with bounce, moving from uptempo swing to Gypsy bossa, bossa nova, French waltzes and slow traditional jazz ballads. Daniele Avanzini, Roberto Fontana and Mircha Mangiacotti were the founding line-up in 2016, and the band has since played Woodford, OzManouche, Yonder, Island Vibe and the Brisbane Festival. For a wedding or a corporate function, the lighter numbers work under dinner and the faster ones get couples up. Full PA and lighting can come with them. They go anywhere in the country, and the trio carries public liability insurance.
