Swing that gets feet tapping, with a groove underneath it, is how Glyn Macdonald Jazz sounds in a room. Glyn MacDonald leads the Perth trio from the piano. Michael Perkins drums, and the bass chair goes to Pete Jeavons or Sam Anning. Their influences run from classical to Latin, and they bring their own ideas to the material rather than playing it by rote. As a trio they sit nicely under a cocktail function or a wedding dinner. For larger events, ask about a bigger ensemble, anything from a vocal quartet to a 21-piece show band. They also play birthdays, private parties and company events.
