German Wheel

Set to Libertango, this is a circus act with one big prop: a German Wheel, which the performer controls through a mix of balance and flexibility. It's a stage piece, and space is the main thing to plan for. The floor needs to be hard, flat and wooden, with at least 6 x 6 metres of clear stage, and there has to be 4.2 metres of height up to the lowest obstruction, so allow for lighting rigs or anything else hanging overhead. With that sorted, it works as a feature spot in a gala program or on a festival stage. It's a Melbourne act.
