Flash Poetry

Nothing in a Flash Poetry set is written in advance. Nico, the Melbourne freestyle rapper behind the name, builds verses on the spot from crowd suggestions, the room around him and whatever is happening at that moment, mixing poetry, comedy and rap. Book him solo, or with his four-piece band of jazz improvisers for the full show. Now and then he'll slip in an original from his album Reality, Now, or read a piece from his book of poems. He has performed on the TEDxMelbourne stage, and his bookings take in festivals, expos, art galleries, corporate events, schools, universities and aged care homes. The band carries its own gear and mics but prefers to use the venue's PA. Travel is up to 200 km, and there's a current Working With Children Check.
