Flambe

Picture a chef up on a unicycle, keeping a knife, a lemon and a coconut in the air. That's Flambé, a character Collin Bogaars has played at home and abroad for upwards of 15 years. Everything comes back to the kitchen. There's fire eating, some contortion using cups and saucers, and rhythms tapped out on pots and utensils, with a turkey baster, chopsticks and a glass of wine among the props. He talks to the audience throughout, sharing 'recipes' for keeping dinner guests amused. Book him to rove, for a feature show that works for kids and adults alike, or as host and MC, with or without fire. Food and wine festivals are a natural home: he's been at Griffith's La Festa, Melbourne Food and Wine and Tasmania's Taste festival, as well as shopping centres, libraries, product launches and corporate events.
