Fiona Lawe Davies and her band can start the night as quiet music over dinner and finish it with a full swing set that gets people dancing. Swinging jazz is the heart of it, mixed with Latin grooves, lounge, soul and a few pop songs. Her influences run from Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra to Harry Connick Jnr and Madeleine Peyroux, and the style is a vintage jazz diva with a modern edge. She's a regular on the Perth jazz scene, and the band has plenty of experience at functions and events, so the pacing of a dinner is second nature to them.
