Feed The Cats is a jazz band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Feed The Cats play jazz, swing and blues in a six-piece line-up, with trumpet and saxophone out front. Paul Dawber, who's also a long-serving actor across film, theatre and TV, sings and plays congas. Shane Ryall is on guitar, Steve Murphy on sax, Chris Skepper on trumpet, Tom McEwan plays drums and sings, and Peter Buelke is on double bass. Paul and Shane started the Melbourne band in 1987, and between then and 1990 it was working six nights a week. Thirty years on, they got back together for one anniversary night at St Kilda's Dogs Bar. It went well enough that the reunion became permanent, and that bar is now a regular gig. Weddings, company functions and private parties are on the calendar too.
