Craig Martin

Six, eight, 11 or 16 pieces: that's how big the band behind Craig Martin can get. He's a Brisbane swing singer who mixes the traditional with the contemporary, and he writes many of the arrangements himself, putting his own spin on swing standards, pop songs and rock 'n' roll classics. He's originally from Liverpool, sang with several big bands in the UK, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra among them, and has been working the Queensland scene since 2010. Brisbane Jazz Club, Twin Towns and the Redland Performing Arts Centre are among his stages, and he has guested as a vocalist with the Brisbane Symphonic Band and the Brisbane Big Band. Corporate bookings have included a Coolum convention for First National Real Estate, a yellow diamond launch for Tiffany's and Capital Finance gala dinners in Sydney and Brisbane. Weddings, cocktail evenings and private functions are on offer too.
