Clint Allen

Live trumpet changes the feel of a jazz set or a function band, and Clint Allen brings real depth to the job. The Brisbane player holds a Masters of Music and was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2011. He works across jazz, big band, swing, funk, soul and blues, and fits into a Top 40 or wedding band line-up as well. Over the years he has played with Tina Arena, Leo Sayer, James Morrison, Natalie Cole, Human Nature, Chrissy Amphlett and Anthony Callea. There's studio work too, including TV commercials and Sony PlayStation soundtracks, plus contemporary opera and orchestral projects. Impulse, his first solo album, was made in Osnabrück alongside pianist Martin Fondse and the Zapp 4 String Quartet. He has also won Australian and Queensland arts grants to run contemporary music programs. He takes bookings within 50 km.
