Beat The Heat is a brass band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Unamplified, Beat The Heat can walk into a venue already playing, with no set-up needed. That makes them an easy roving act for weddings, parties and corporate events. The standard line-up is seven players, five horns and two drummers, in marching band outfits, and it scales anywhere from a four-piece to a 50-piece marching band. The set list mixes street brass with pop, so Bourbon Street Parade sits alongside Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Aqua's Barbie Girl and Kool and the Gang's Celebration. They'll write custom arrangements for your event, and vocalists can join in, even on roving sets. For a bigger stage show they'll talk through PA and microphones with you. The band is based in Melbourne and travels Australia-wide. It holds public liability insurance, and every member has a Working With Children Check.
