CHAPERONE make music you can dance to, blending modern pop, alternative rock and R&B. The Sydney seven-piece have played more than two hundred gigs since their debut in 2023, and the live show is physical and full of energy. Along the way they put out a pair of EPs: LIKE STRANGERS came in 2024, a year after GIVE IT THE PEOPLE. More recent singles include NEWLYWEDS, their first self-produced track, with a late 70s funk and disco feel plus a modern dance-rock edge, and BLIND, which pulls from the Aussie punk and alt-rock scene. If you want a band with their own sound on a festival bill or a venue's gig night, they're worth a look.
