Beats Workin

Expect to be asked to sing. Beats Workin are a Sydney barbershop quartet whose program is funny and interactive, with classic four-part barbershop numbers and sing-alongs that pull the audience in. The songs run from old favourites to newer ones, and they're known for writing fresh lyrics to fit your event. You might have caught them at the St Patrick's Day Parade, Scarecrow Day at Milton or a Mother's Day show at the Mean Fiddler, and they play bistros and retirement homes too. They busk as well, and took second prize in the group busking section at the Henry Lawson Festival in Grenfell in 2003. The quartet is linked with the Sydneysiders Express Barbershop Chorus and uses its shows with the chorus to raise money for cancer research at the Westmead children's hospital.
