Allira Wilson

Book Allira Wilson when you want the singing to be the reason people stop talking. She pairs jazz harmony with a soulful, contemporary edge, and her voice has real power behind it. Her debut album, Rise and Fall, won Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 2014 Bell Awards and was an ABC feature album of the week. In The Weekend Australian, John McBeath wrote that it “signals the arrival of an important new voice”. A WAAPA graduate, Allira has performed with her own projects as well as with Jamie Oehlers' Blowfish and the Mace Francis Orchestra, and she has sung in Invenio, Gian Slater's 16-piece vocal ensemble. Her festival appearances include Wangaratta and the Perth International Jazz Festival. She's based in Perth.
