Alex Glumac

The run sheet is where Alex Glumac starts. Once he's booked for a wedding, he meets the couple early to plan the reception, then talks with the venue manager and the other entertainers so everyone is working to the same plan. On the night he keeps guests involved and the couple relaxed, and if something goes off script he reworks things on the spot, which he calls recalibrating. He knows a wide range of cultural wedding traditions, useful when a reception brings families and customs together. Weddings aren't all he does. Since 2009 he's been the host at fundraisers, awards nights and company events, doing his homework on each one first and running segments such as Q&As, auctions and live performances, with commentary where it's needed. He's based in Sydney.
