Swing, rocking blues and boogie woogie from the 1940s and 50s are what Adam Hall and The Velvet Playboys play. The Perth band draws on the jazz and rhythm and blues of that era, with songs from Chuck Berry, Ray Charles and Jackie Wilson in the mix. The mood is sharp and a bit Las Vegas, smooth one minute and jumping the next, and the band treats every gig as a show. A retro themed night is the obvious match. They also take weddings, festivals, corporate events and other celebrations.
