Acoustic Union is a band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Banjo, resonator guitars, regular guitar and double bass: Acoustic Union play string band music the old way. You can book the Brisbane group in two sizes, duo or trio. The set draws on old time, hillbilly, bluegrass and country blues. Tom Waits, Steve Earle and Johnny Cash are the big influences, along with the early country blues players. The instruments are true to the era, so the sound feels genuinely vintage. It's a strong choice for a barn-style wedding, a themed party or a relaxed venue afternoon, and the group takes work functions, private parties and special occasions too.
