Accordion Player Melbourne-1 is an accordion player based in Melbourne, VIC.
Picture a Paris dance hall in the 1930s and you have the sound of this Melbourne accordion player. She specialises in French bal musette music of the 30s and 40s, the songs of Charles Trenet, Juliette Gréco and Edith Piaf, along with Gus Viseur and Django Reinhardt. A set moves from waltz to tango, gypsy swing and chanson, music for dancing and for remembering. It's lovely for a French-themed event, a Bastille Day dinner or a wedding with a Paris touch. Her playing has taken her to Paris, Ireland, Spain, New Caledonia and the USA. At home she has played the Stonnington and Wangaratta jazz festivals, OzManouche Festival, the Melbourne Bastille Day French Festival and Melbourne Recital Centre, and she appeared on ABC TV's Spicks and Specks. Corporate work includes Gabriel Gaté's French Christmas in July, the Sofitel's Fête de la Musique, Bicycle Network's 200 years of the bike, functions for the Tour de France and the Spring Racing Carnival.
