Zak Shepherd

Zak Shepherd plays acoustic guitar like it's half a drum kit. He's a Melbourne singer who loops his parts live, and his sound is melodic, percussive and funky, always built around a groove. Early in the night that might mean old blues standards given a funk treatment, sitting underneath the conversation. Later he'll swing to the classics that every generation in the room knows, played faithfully enough that people sing along. The aim, by the end, is dancing. He's a good fit for a party that starts relaxed and wants to finish on its feet.
