Yacob, who goes by Yac, takes current hits and old-school classics and gives each one a soulful reworking of his own. He's a Brisbane singer-songwriter and guitarist whose influences lean towards pop, soul, R&B and rap. His whole kit is one guitar, a mic and a loop pedal, which lets him layer parts and build a fuller sound on his own. That compact rig makes him easy to fit into a bar, a small party or a venue with only a corner to spare.
