Xparte is a cover band based in Sydney, NSW.
Expect to be singing backing vocals yourself at an Xparté gig, because audience participation is built into the show. The six-piece Sydney party band is fronted by Jessica Christie, with her warm vocals, and Tony Trad, who brings a rock 'n' roll voice and plenty of stage energy. The songs cross generations, from the Beatles, Van Morrison and the Blues Brothers to Katy Perry, Pink, Sara Bareilles and Kings of Leon. Nutbush, the Time Warp, Lady Marmalade and ABBA are all there, alongside 80s favourites like Funkytown, Run to Paradise and All Fired Up, plus Disco Inferno and Play That Funky Music. Corporate functions and theme parties are their specialty, and they do weddings too. They've played the Star City Casino Showroom, Fox Studios, the Wentworth Ballroom, the Big Top at Luna Park, the Sheraton on the Park and the Australian Museum, and regular clients include Clipsal, Variety Bash and Sydney Swifts Netball.
