Willy Metzer

Jazz is where Willy Metzer started, playing it around the Adelaide Hills before he settled into a voice of his own. The stages since then have been festivals, hotels and cruise ships, in more than 110 countries. He has put out over 30 albums and works in music education as well. There are big bands in the picture too. He formed The Will Metzer Big Band in 2013, and Big Band Australia, set up in 2025, gives Australian songs the full big band treatment. As a soloist he brings that same grounding in jazz and swing to a room, which makes him an easy choice for a hotel function or a formal dinner that wants polish in the music without it taking over.
