Wayne Jones is a musical soloist based in Canberra, ACT.
Upbeat or background, Wayne Jones can pitch his set either way, and he's happy to sing and play all night. It's mostly acoustic: songs he's reworked his own way, pulling from folk and blues through to heavier rock, plus a fair bit of Irish music. A typical list might jump from Wicked Game and Creep to Handbags and Gladrags, Brown Eyed Girl, Sunsets by Powderfinger and Here I Go Again. He grew up in Liverpool in the UK and learned his trade in the clubs and venues of the North of England, then played in Asia before making Canberra home, and he's a regular on its music circuit. He brings a portable 500 watt PA and some basic lighting, can play unamplified, and will talk to your venue about the audio set-up. Travel is up to 200 km.
