Wasted Years is a musical duo based in Gold Coast, QLD.
This rock and pop duo turns up with a big rig and real rock voices, and they'd rather play late than wrap up early. They like long stretches on stage, often 90 minutes to two hours before a break, which they spend mingling with the crowd. The song list swings from Metallica, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard to Pat Benatar, Divinyls and Joan Jett, with Queen, Foo Fighters, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam and Bon Jovi in the mix. Requests get played whenever the song is already in the repertoire. Originally from New Zealand, they're now based on the Gold Coast and travel up to 300 km. They bring every piece of gear, seating included, and just need about 5 by 2 metres, under cover if it's outside. Weddings, birthdays, pubs and clubs are all on their list, and they're insured.
