Wanted Man is a tribute band based in Newcastle, NSW.
Dressed in black, Michael Mack fronts Wanted Man, a Johnny Cash tribute that plays two sets. The songs cover the whole catalogue, from Hey Porter and Get Rhythm through Ring of Fire, A Boy Named Sue and Jackson to Man in Black, Hurt and Personal Jesus. The duets with June Carter get their turn too. The full band puts the stories behind the songs front and centre. It's a show for a theatre, club or festival crowd that wants to sit, watch and then sing. Plan for a stage of 7 by 4 metres, a big screen at the back of the stage for the slideshow and video, and a dressing room for five. PA and lighting come with the act unless the venue has its own. Based in Newcastle, they travel nationwide.
