Walla C

Brazilian-born and now living in Naarm, Walla C makes hip hop beats and plays DJ sets. There are two sides to what he does. His live beat sets on a Roland SP555 are spontaneous and busy, mixing his own tracks with reworked contemporary classics. His DJ sets are all about rhythm, moving between baile funk, trap, Afrobeat and tropical bass. His production is known for its percussion and detailed synth work, with jazz, funk and Afro-Brazilian sounds feeding in.
