Van Halen Tribute/ Mean Street is a tribute band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Mean Street is a Van Halen tribute show from four Melbourne musicians, built for a loud night and a crowd that wants to party. The set leans on the David Lee Roth years, 1978 to 1984, with some Sammy Hagar era favourites mixed in, so Panama, Hot for Teacher, Unchained and Runnin' with the Devil share the night with Why Can't This Be Love and When It's Love. Eruption gets its turn too, along with You Really Got Me and Jump. Most shows last between an hour and 90 minutes. They've also played two one-hour sets, or a shorter 45 minutes, so the format can bend to your venue. They prefer to use the house PA but can bring their own. The same players, plus one more, also perform as a 90s cover band. They travel nationwide.
