Tom Fisher & The Layabouts

Slide guitar, heartbreak ballads and loud country blues rock: that's the range of a Tom Fisher and the Layabouts set. The Fremantle band's sound leans south, with echoes of Steve Earle, Tom Petty and Springsteen, and Tom's own songs sit at the centre of it. WAM named one of their tracks the 2019 Blues and Roots Song of the Year. They're a fixture on the WA touring and festival circuit and keep getting invited back, because a crowd with a beer in hand tends to end up dancing. The players behind Tom are experienced WA musicians. They'd suit a festival stage, a pub or an outdoor party that wants a live band with some grit.
