Thistle Dubh

A ceilidh with Thistle Dubh comes with its own dance caller. The teacher leads the floor through each dance, so guests who've never tried a Scottish country dance can join in next to the ones who know every step. The band plays traditional Scottish music, mostly for dancing, on Highland pipes, fiddles, harp, whistle, bodhran, bassoon and keyboard, with vocals. They also play concerts, but a lively ceilidh or a Scottish country dance is where they really come into their own. Bring comfortable shoes, because the caller won't let anyone sit out for long.
