The Widgee Brothers is a musical duo based in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Up to four hours of Australian songs, with some Aussie banter in between: that's how The Widgee Brothers fill a night. Rocky is on vocals and rhythm guitar, while Rolly handles lead guitar and backing vocals, and their original backing tracks fill out the sound. Then the extras come out, didgeridoo, spoons and banjo among them. The style runs takes in rock and folk, country and adult contemporary, all with a danceable groove. Across four sets you'll hear songs like Flame Trees, Treaty, Down Under, Solid Rock, Under the Milky Way, My Island Home, Black Velvet Band and I Am Australian. Want a bigger sound? The pair also play as a four-piece band. They bring their own PA when needed, come from the Sunshine Coast and travel nationwide.
