The Twilighters is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Chinese weddings are a speciality for The Twilighters. Their singers switch between Cantonese, Mandarin and English, so relatives who don't speak English get songs of their own, anything from Jacky Cheung to Christine Fan, next to recent chart hits and English party classics. For the Chinese songs, you pick a male or female singer. Everything is set up and sound-checked before the first guests walk in. Dinner gets gentle background music, and the dance tunes start once formalities are over. The Melbourne band can play for up to six hours, with sets arranged around your schedule, and they'll go through the music and run sheet with you beforehand. Playlist music fills the breaks, theirs or yours through their PA, and there's a microphone for speeches. They'll add one special request from outside their usual list. They're happy with 50 guests or 500, all Chinese or a mix, and also play corporate events and private functions.
