The Refuge

The Refuge are a loud, tight alt rock band, and they like it that way. The four have been playing together for about ten years, since starting out in the coastal town of Apollo Bay, and on stage they lock in with almost mechanical precision while still pushing themselves. The core sound is alternative rock, stretched by their taste for punk, New Wave, psychedelic, heavy metal and experimental music. Based in Collingwood, they belong on a pub stage or at a band night with the guitars turned right up.
