The Quokkas is a cover band based in Lawson, NSW.
The Quokkas are a trio built on a pair of acoustic guitars, two singers and a brushed snare, and they keep their gear light and their harmonies thick. The trio can play quiet enough for dinner or fill a room, so ask for the volume that suits you. They like to throw in a surprise or two, and their songs cover close to a century, with a few Irish tunes that are much older. A recent night included Learning to Fly, Perfect, Ship of Fools, To Her Door, I'm On Fire, No Secrets, Beggar on the Street of Love and The 59th Street Bridge Song. Clubs, pubs, weddings and parties all suit them. Quality sound and lights come with them. Home is Lawson in the Blue Mountains, they're fully covered by insurance, and gigs within 200 km are in range.
