The Poorleans is a cover band based in Adelaide, SA.
Pauline sings with a husky edge, Phil plays lead guitar, Pete's on bass and James drums, and together The Poorleans play the 70s and 80s rock and pop songs other bands tend to skip. Expect Split Enz, Divinyls, Jo Jo Zep, Mondo Rock and Chain next to The Pretenders, Eurythmics, Stray Cats and The Police, with Brass in Pocket, Message in a Bottle and Shape I'm In among them. They'll learn a special song if you ask ahead. Book two, three or four 45-minute sets with 15-minute breaks, plus a quieter background set while people eat. They bring the PA and lighting. Give them a 3 x 4 metre stage, a good 240V power point close by and an hour's access ahead of the start to get set up and sound checked. The Adelaide band plays corporate nights, pubs and private parties, holds public liability insurance and covers 100 km.
