The Occasionals is a cover band based in Brisbane, QLD.
The Occasionals play gutsy pub rock drawn from the 70s and 80s, with plenty of Cold Chisel, AC/DC, ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones in the mix. Several members take lead vocals and the rest pitch in on harmonies, so the voice changes from song to song. Shed jams between a handful of local guitarists and a drummer started the Brisbane band in 2013, and it grew from there into a regular on the pub, party and charity circuit. You'll find them in towns like Jimboomba, Beaudesert, Park Ridge and Kooralbyn. For three straight years they've been part of the Ride to Fire Cancer at Gasoline Alley, and they've played the Jimboomba Relay for Life twice and the Rotary-run Jimboomba Field Days. Birthdays and Christmas parties suit them well, and they played the 100th anniversary function for Russell Island State School.
