The Mimics is a tribute band based in Sydney, NSW.
Close your eyes during a song from The Mimics and the idea is that you'll hear the original singer. This Sydney trio work as vocal impersonators first, and a song only stays in the set if they can get it that close. The line-up is two guitars and three voices, filled out with live backing tracks. That compact set-up sits well in a club's lounge bar, and it also suits weddings, private functions and birthday-style celebrations where guests like to guess who's being sung before the chorus arrives.
