The McAvaneys is a musical duo based in Melbourne, VIC.
Sunday afternoon in the sun, a few drinks and songs everyone knows the words to. That's where Graham and Damo, The McAvaneys, are happiest. The acoustic duo leans on dad-era classics: Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Midnight Oil, Bowie, INXS and the Stones, plus a twangy go at Queen. Expect singing, and some dancing. Country sits comfortably next to the rock, and they slot in songs of their own, like Tamworth and Pot of Gold, from their EP and album. They've also supported Tania Kernaghan at Whittlesea Bowls. Their own PA comes along, so they just need space and power. Melbourne-based, travelling up to 50 km.
