The Magic Number is a cover band based in Brisbane, QLD.
The Magic Number play the dance songs currently on the radio, mixed with the classics, and every member sings. They arrive with their own sound system and lighting, so there's no need to hire gear separately. The band covers Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It wasn't put together the usual way, from mates who happened to jam. The players were picked through a series of auditions: Nikki Macfadgean on vocals, Mike Haley on guitar, Adam Surplice on bass and Hugh Wheeler on drums. Pop rock is their ground, so they're an easy match for a birthday, a wedding reception, a private party or a company show where the brief is dancing.
