The Joe Cocker Experience

Bruce Bird's voice carries The Joe Cocker Experience, an eight-piece tribute from south-east Queensland that covers the soulful blues, big band swing and slow ballads of the Cocker catalogue. The set runs from the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour songs to the later recordings. Around Bruce are Paul Rea on keys, Aaron Giffin on lead guitar, Mal Zego on bass and Robbie Amhaz on drums and percussion, with Roger Beare on sax and Jane Alicia and Kristina Kelman singing. It's a big, full sound, and it's at its best on a festival stage, in a venue or at a corporate night with room to move. Private celebrations are on their list too. The band is based in Hervey Bay.
