The Hired Guns is a cover band based in Wollongong, NSW.
Pub rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s is The Hired Guns' territory. The Wollongong four-piece has Marc and Al Williams on vocals, Steve on bass and Wild Bill on drums, and the list is long: Icehouse, Hoodoo Gurus, Mental As Anything, Dragon, Australian Crawl and Men at Work on the local side, with Creedence, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Bad Company and the Traveling Wilburys from overseas. Songs people know and can dance to are the whole point. If there's one you want to hear, they're happy to learn it. They bring all their own gear, PA and lights, need very little set-up, and carry public liability insurance. They'll travel up to 100 km.
